Gen Z life sucks - How does that affect the Art World

I Got kicked out of my mother's house, some guy stole half of my monthly salary, and I lost my wallet with my documents. Yeah I'm very unhappy with what has been happening in my life right now. I don't know why I'm telling you that, I just had the urge to write it down somewhere. Well, let's get into the content of the article.

Life is hard, and I'm sure that EVERYBODY experiences bad moments in life, some suffer more, and some have it easier, but most people have to face feelings and situations that put their faith in themselves to the test.

Depression is getting more and more common with each passing day, people are anxious, stressed, and even suicidal. And for every bad moment society passes, lots of honest and talented artists are born.

I'm telling you, the new wave of artists is going to be insane. I'm talking about the Gen Z.

Western people born in the 90s had a relatively easy life. Most didn't have to fight in wars, they also came to the world at a moment when freedom was starting to get prioritized, so most of them could express themselves the way they wanted. They also didn't have extreme exposure to the internet during the early stages of life or adolescence.

But what is happening with Gen Z? We're all drugged, depressed, insecure, and problematic. Our brains are being used every day to watch ads to feed the lizard man (Zuck) more money. We keep scrolling that damn Tiktok losing brain cells and seeing sickening stuff to get more dopamine. We have a device that allows us to learn anything, and we have the biggest library of information right in our hands, and still, we do nothing about it. We are lazy, unmotivated, and tired.

But I'm very curious to see what kind of art Gen Z is going to create in the next few years. I already see some Avant Garde stuff, some Abstract artworks, and tons of new aesthetics being born. Musicians are doing a very good job creating new kinds of unconventional music, just like lots of bands did in the 70s. I'm very curious to see where my generation is going. I want to read interesting books, wroten by a disturbed mind who is alive TODAY. I've read dozens of books written by disturbed guys, but they're all dead. And they don't live in our reality. Is not relatable. Things were different back then.

I expect Gen Z art to be relatable, disturbing, and creative. I expect beautiful artworks, gorgeous portraits, and creative photos with interesting people posing. I want to see art that is fresh, creative, and complex.

Being alive sucks, yes, but that's why it's exciting. Sadness is turned into creativity in a cathartic process. For all the depressed GenZs out there: start creating some art and contribute to the world that you live in. Maybe our generation just needs a way to escape this confusing reality, and art could be the key. Sculpt something, paint an artwork, compose some music, poem, develop a game, just do it.

Anyway, that's the rant for today.
